Description
Anubias barteri var. nana "Large" is a beautiful, slightly larger selection of the classic dwarf Anubias. It shares the same indestructible nature as the standard nana but offers larger, more prominent foliage, making it an excellent focal point for the midground or attached to prominent hardscape.
Care and Maintenance
Like all Anubias, this plant grows from a rhizome which must not be buried in the substrate, otherwise it will rot. It is best attached to driftwood or rocks using fishing line, cotton thread, or plant glue. It requires very low light and no added CO2, though it will grow slightly faster with optimal conditions.
Aquascaping Application
Its dark green, leathery leaves provide excellent contrast against lighter, finer-leaved plants. It is highly resistant to herbivorous fish and thrives in a wide range of water parameters, making it an extremely versatile choice for almost any planted aquarium setup.
