World Ranking 0002 Gold Prize IAPLC 2022

Comments

On the night of August 27, I watched the distribution of the IAPLC results. By the time I started watching it, the 100th to 40th place had already been announced, and some Chinese participants were in the TOP 100, but not my name. The 8th place was announced, and he is my friend and also a member of CAA China Aquascape Association. I was happy that he got a good result. But at the same time, I was disap- pointed that my result was not so good. Finally, the top seven were announced. I was very happy and proud that three Chinese participants won prizes, 6th, 4th, and 3rd place. When the second place Gold Prize winner was announced, I saw my work, "Mountain Stream in the Forest" on the screen. I had no idea that I had won the second place. I was very happy at that moment, and I would like to thank the organizer and judges of the IAPLC for recognizing my work. I will do my best again next year.

Comments from Mr. Jiangang Diao (People's Republic of China)

This work is full of vitality with its dazzling details and flowing green- ery. It gives us visual pleasure and spiritual healing with its transpar- ency, richness, and serenity. The composition of the driftwood is well-arranged. The green aquatic plants are spreading beautifully in the composition, and the red aquatic plants add a colorful touch. The aquatic plants perfectly reflect serenity and richness of the forest. The depth and shadows are also created appropriately. At the visual focal point, there are a few gracious fish, creeping plant roots, and water ripples reflected on the water surface that can been seen far away, all swaying beautifully, making the aquascape spacious and transparent. The combination of driftwood leads the eye deeper into the forest. The entire landscape is very harmonious, beautiful, and mysterious as if it is composing a forest symphony.
